Shuttle Logistics LLC Formed
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (August 16, 2007): Armand Ferrucci, owner and operator of University Shuttle, LLC of Providence, R.I., announces the formation of Shuttle Logistics, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary established to serve the custom transportation needs of academic and corporate campuses nationwide.
Anthony Ferrucci has been appointed president of Shuttle Logistics, LLC. He has been with the family-owned company since 1994, working in the operations, fleet management, human resources, and marketing departments. Among his leadership responsibilities, Anthony will be responsible for developing both locally owned and franchise locations for Shuttle Logistics’ “Safe & Sound Shuttle Program” on a nationwide basis. The firm will also provide consulting services to colleges, universities and corporations who need to develop a shuttle program.
Established in 1983, University Shuttle has been operating the SafeRide shuttle system for Brown University students and faculty since 2003. With a staff of 35 drivers, the company maintains a fleet of 21 vehicles carrying 6,000 passengers per week on a fixed-route and on-call basis.
“Our experience with Brown over the years has led us to a growth opportunity with the formation of Shuttle Logistics,” explains Armand Ferrucci. “In cooperation with the schools, we have developed a courteous, safe and efficient shuttle system that works. We believe our system can be expanded and replicated as we branch out to other schools, particularly those who have student-run programs or no programs in place at all.”
Shuttle Logistics is currently developing a logo brand, corporate identity, collateral materials and a Web site to aid the company in marketing and franchising its services with an estimated roll-out this Fall. “We’re not the kind of shuttle service that provides bar runs to students,” explains Armand. “We are a professional transportation service that will evaluate, design and/or operate a system to fully suit the needs of an academic institution. All of our experienced, uniformed drivers have completed an advanced, comprehensive training program that includes diversity, safety, crime prevention, and radio communications training. This is what appeals most to corporate and school administrators and sets us apart in the industry. We understand the unique market niche that we serve.”
Shuttle Logistics Provides Shuttle Services
to Bryant University
PROVIDENCE, RI (September 2, 2008): Shuttle Logistics, LLC, and University Shuttle, LLC, is proud to announce Bryant University will now be offering our shuttle services.
The program will implement daily shuttles running from off campus housing locations to Bryant University and return.
In addition, a daily shuttle service has been initiated to transport international students to off campus classes at the local Community College.
We are very excited to work with Bryant University and look forward to providing another example of how safe and efficient student transportation can be implemented at today's Universities.
Shuttle Logistics Joins IACLEA and IPI
Shuttle Logistics, LLC is proud to announce they are new members of IACLEA (International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators) and IPI (International Parking Institute). After just attending IACLEA’s 50th Annual Conference and Exposition in Hartford, Shuttle Logistics is excited to be a part of such a wonderful organization.
Also, looking forward, Shuttle Logistics will also be attending, as well as exhibiting, at IPI’s International Parking Conference and Exposition in Denver, CO in 2009.
